Who Am I: I am originally from Kentucky, have been living in Hong Kong since November 2003. I have been married to my high school sweetheart since 1976. I have 2 kids; a daughter in CA and a son in OH. I am a mechanical engineer by education, but have been in management since the araly 90's.

Favorite Track: Bristol Motor Speedway

Favorite Racing Moment: I began to watch races on ESPN in the late 80s, and just got hooked. I went to my first NA$CAR race at Bristol in the early 90's and became addicted to the smell of oil, tires and gasoline when I walked into the track.

How I Discovered Rowdy And Why I Listen: I found it in 2005 when I read about it on Jayski.

Interests: NA$CAR, UK Basketball, woodcarving, music

Hobbies: Woodcarving, photography, backpacking, fishing, playing golf

Vices: Work, cuban cigars, red wine

Ready To Eat?

One of the guys who works for me was up in northern China last week and one of the dishes that they brought out for lunch was a BIG A$$ GECKO!! My guy didn't partake; even the HK Chinese have limits on what they eat!!

More Hong Kong Hillbillies

Did some hiking in northern HK yesterday near the Chinese border and found more evidence of people from the Hillbilly Tribe in HK. Back home people only put cars up on blocks, but here the custom appears to be to put them on shipping containers.

Turn out the lights

I was running some numbers this morning after watching Shrub take the truck race, and, even if Mark Martin wins out and gets max points, Jimmy can win the Cup by averaging about a 6th place without any bonus points.

I'm not happy about this, but it is inevitable.
