College student at St. Cloud State University and really got into NASCAR in 2007. Interned at KFAN in Minneapolis for the FAN Motorsports this summer (2008) on Saturdays. My favorite drivers are Dale Jr, Jimmie Johnson, Tony Stewart, Matt Kenseth, Elliott Sadler, Ryan Newman, Kurt Busch, and Dale Earnhardt Sr.
Favorite Racing Moment:
Dale Jr winning the Lifelock 400 at MIS on June 15, 2008 after a 76 race drought. What better way to do it than on Father's Day?
How I discovered Rowdy, and why I Listen:
Found Rowdy just looking around online. I listen because it's just plain and simply a great show and brings a great sense of humor to what's going on in NASCAR. Not to mention it's probably one of few sources for my NASCAR news, with it being probably the only one for my daily fix.
Why I'm a race fan:
Because I got hooked on racing from a guy who also likes racing and hosts a show called FAN Motorsports on KFAN in Minneapolis. Also because of everything that goes on in racing - the fast driving, the racing, the drama, etc.

Ford Windstar

A truck, preferrably a Chevy, or Ford Escape

CONCORD, N.C. -- Sprint Cup drivers Carl Edwards and Kevin Harvick were involved in an altercation Thursday in the Nationwide Series garage at Lowe's Motor Speedway, multiple witnesses confirmed.
Witnesses said Edwards approached Harvick in the garage stall housing Harvick's No. 33 Chevrolet and engaged in conversation. Following what a witness called a heated discussion, Harvick turned to walk away and Edwards grabbed him by the shoulder and spun him around.
According to reports Harvick then shoved Edwards in retaliation, forcing Edwards onto the hood of the No. 33 Chevy. No. 33 crew chief Rick Ren pointed to a dent in the hood where he said Edwards landed. Others on site then proceeded to separate the drivers, and witnesses said Edwards was grabbed around the neck in a headlock by Harvick's motor-home driver, Jeff Smith.
No punches were thrown, witnesses said.
NASCAR did not immediately comment on the issue.
Edwards and Harvick were not immediately available to comment.
Witnesses claim the verbal exchange Thursday was in reference to a handwritten note Edwards left in a seat on Harvick's airplane following the AMP Energy 500 last weekend at Talladega Superspeedway. The note facetiously thanked Harvick for disparaging comments he made toward Edwards on ABC following a multi-car wreck on Lap 174 of 188, which was triggered when Edwards tapped teammate Greg Biffle. Harvick was collected in the incident.

Man, oh, man. Do they have to act like this? It almost seems like they're being little kids and one's retaliating for something the other did. You did something to me, now I'm paying you back kinda thing.
Ok, here's the deal. I have a Denny Hamlin hat that I'm just dying to give away to somebody and in order to do so, I have a trivia question about Denny. Get it right, and I'll send it to you in the mail for free (I'll contact and get shipping info from you in a message here on Rowdy). In case multiple people get it right, I'll throw all names in a hat and draw that way, contacting the winner in a message on Rowdy.
So, here's the question:
What year and at what track did Denny sweep both the pole and race for both events on the NASCAR Sprint Cup circuit for his first two victories in the series? (Need both parts in order to win)
I've put up some video stuff but it's actually just audio with a graphic thrown in every once in a while stating what the audio is about. It's a project that I did in a class for the Fall 2007 semester and is about the 2007 NASCAR season in review in terms of wrapping it up and what went on during the season, etc. I broke the project down into six segments and uploaded each segment seperately. I hope everybody enjoys it.
