Mike Skinner in the No.00

Mike Skinner is going to be in the double-o for three races, so that they can try and get into the top 35, maybe he can even show Michael McDowell how to run these tracks. You remember what he did in the Red Bull Racing Toyota No.84 piloted by A.J Allmendinger, he showed the team how to work on the cars and showed A.J. how to race. Now they are running top fifteen almost every race. Mike is a very talented driver, 3 top fives, 12 top tens. You may say that's not as good as previous years, but hey 24 wins in his Craftsman Truck career. Now, his cup stats are not the best, 0 wins, 10 top fives, 39 top tens, and his best points finish is tenth... HOLY CRAP!!! HIS CUP CAREER SUCKS THIS FAR!!! But maybe, just maybe he can show Michael Waltrip how to run a cup team.

McDowell and Gilliland called to the trailer!?!

With 8 laps to go Michael McDowell and David Gilliland made contact and triggered a nine car crash. But wait! They were called to the trailer!?! Why that's racin'! Bobby Labonte was air lifted to the hospitol for rib and abdominal pain. Robby Loomis said he's okay but is bruised up pretty bad. In that crash was Sam Hornish Jr. who was mid-pack until Ryan Newman his teamate stalled and spun into traffic nearly causing a giganntic accident. Then the huge crash came out and Hornish was in it! Who in the heck told him to push Newman in the first place! Because of the nut head that told him to do that put him in this situation!

After the race they went to the trailer, it was basically a slap on the wrist, and besides, but, what was the point! Someday the drivers should put their hair in pony tails and should wear a skirt, just to show NASCAR what they have done to the drivers and fans. They should also drive pink cars, and you might ask what the sponsor would be. Well it would have to be Barbie, My Little Pony, Easy Bake Oven, Hannah Montana, or even better, High School Musical. This should show NASCAR that they need to let them act like men and let them run over each other like they did three or four years ago!

Marcos Ambrose wins his first race in car 59.

Marcos Ambrose can finally be called a winner after yesterdays win at Watkins Glen International. After having a heartbreaking race in Montreal because of a speeding penalty he and ended up losing the race, he made a come back this week and won in his 59th race. Wait! his number is 59 and it took him 59 races to win? I guess he will have to wait another 59 races until he wins his second race. But, this is not what this blog is about. Marcos Ambrose from Tasmania Australia came into NASCAR in the 2006 season were he ran Crafstman Truck Races in the no. 20 Team Australia, he started in twenty-two events, two top fives, and four top tens. His starting average was 12.7 and his finishing average was 21.3, he finished the season earning a little over $256,368. But in 2007 he was with Wood Brothers/JTG Racing, after his first season in competition, he finished with a solid 8th position in points, he even made all thirty-five races, he also recorded one one top five, and had six top tens, Ambrose's starting average was 18.6, his finishing average was 21.6. Marcos finished the season earning almost $987,000. This season Marcos as had a great year in 2008. This year he is tenth in points, he even has one win which was recorded at Watkins Glen, so far he has three top fives five top tens. I do not have the rest of his 2008 stats thus far because NASCAR hasn't updated their site. Also Marcos Ambrose finished third in todays Cup race at the Glen, unofficial results. 1. Kyle Busch, 2. Is Brad Coleman up for the challenge?

Brad Coleman is known for great talent with Gibbs in the Nationwide series, but, is he ready for cup? With Yeley out this weekend in Watkins Glen, Brad will be in the Hall of Fame Racing Toyota. Abviously they thought Yeley had some untapped potential but it didn't work out. Heck I thought so! But you know with Brad running in the 96, and on a road course in his first start? What were they thinking! First, they shouldn't have gotten rid of Raines, and they should have asked him to come back to the team for this race, because this is a huge challenge for Brad and everyone there at HoM. Brad definetly has potential but I think it will be like Yeley! It will not work! Will not work! I swear! I think they're wasting their time! Though P.J. Jones qualified the car 38th doesn't mean Brad is going to finish better. I would be surprised if he finished 40th. That's just my opinion. You know what, keep P.J. in the car! They're better off. In closing, three reasons why they have screwed up! One, they shouldn't have gotten rid of Raines. Two, Joe Gibbs should have stepped in and done something about it. Three, never put a new kid, running his first race, on a road course! Your asking for problems!

Jimmie Johnson driving for Randy Moss Motorsports at Bristol.

Jimmie Johnson will be making his first career race in the NASCAR Craftman Truck Series at Bristol Motor Speedway, finally someone that is not a nobody. He will be making his start on August 20, at Bristol,Tennessee in the Moss Motorsports number 81 car that started three or four weeks ago at Kentucky Speedway. Though I do not have a picture for the unveiling, because of ESPN not taking a picture for something that is a big deal! Any way, Jimmie Johnson is at the highest point of his career and if he wins like some of these new guys, this may be an every week deal like Kyle, and Randy will be even richer and he can retire ten years early. But, can they pull it off, heck yeah! Jimmie Johnson can go out there blind folded and still win the race, but that's just in Craftsman! Jimmie's brother Jarit ran two truck races in 2005, here are his stats, 2 starts, avg. start/ 33.0, avg. finish/ 26.5, winnings/ 12,880. So not the best record for Jarit, hopefully Jimmie can do something with the Johnson name in the Craftsman Truck Series. Though no word on what the sponsor will be but I'll keep you posted.

Montreal has the first points race in the rain!!!

Rain comes on lap 7 of 74 and there is a very long caution in Montreal, and I thought they would have a red flag like normal but I never knew they had rain tires. These rain tires have been used at Watkins Glen back in the nineteen ninety's where Dale Earnhardt and many other drivers spun and got in the mud, but that was a practice session, this was a points race. These guys were hitting close to sixty-five miles per hour and had rear tail lights in the top left of their rear window, and installed wind-shield wipers, they should've installed fog lights so that it would be easier to see, half of what they would run in dry conditions, like this morning or yesterday! When they put the all knew rain tires on the cars I thought everyone was going to crash and one third of the feild would finish this awkward race. Jauques Villeneuve ran in the top-five almost all day until the number ninety-eight swirved to the right and jauques rear ended him, at least it was accidental. Then the rain started pouring and there was a large puddle in turn fourteen and Joey Logano hydro-plained into the wall. NASCAR abviously did not listen to their drivers when they said on the radio that they need to stop before someone gets injured or even worse, dead. But these guys don't listen because they just want the fans money, sure they may give you a "butt kissing sorry" like at Indy. But soon after a yellow, which was basically a red flag Ron Fellow was declared winner at Montreal. Overal a boring race, but a historic one to. Laps ran, 48/74.

The suckish coverage by ESPN.

Jimmie Johnson and Chad Knaus wins at the Brickyard for the second time! Yet ESPN like a bunch of idiots sent the rest of the coverage to Sport Center! How stupid. They should at least keep the race coverage going because i don't want to watch MLB and all of that crap! When will Fox get every bit of the coverage? They're a whole lot more professional that these amatuers! But. Dale Jarrett doesn't act like a know it all like Rusty, here's an example. "I'm Rusty Wallace, I remember when Jeff Gordon and I raced each other at Bristol!!!" or, " I'm Rusty Wallace, come to Rusty Wallace Kia, north of the Motor-Mile!!!" It's so annoying. I'm from Dandridge,TN and every commercial during our news cast is Rusty Wallace Kia, or Honda, or even Pontiac. Did they let Rusty out of the cage to pay for the crappy air way ticket to get his happy butt home to his butt-ugly, low income, pain in the hind-end dealerships! Also they need to stop sending it to the next show like Sport Center, and like TNT, The Jack Daniels Post-Race Show, I don't consider 3-4 minutes post race coverage. NASCAR needs to recognize the problems ESPN has given their fans, oh wait, they don't care because they're spliting the coverage between three stations because they realized they can make more money, than they thought! Only, so that they can ship eight hundred sets of tires from Pocono to the Indianapolis Motorspeedway. I don't even work for them and I realize this, also why did they decide to put a major, major event on a cable network that a lot of people will not be able to see! Yet the Arena Bowl is on a local channel called ABC!!!

Tony Stewart to announce number.

Ever since Smoke has announced his move from JGR to the newly named team, Stewart/HAAS Racing, he's been looking for drivers, numbers, and sponsors. But! His sponsor is going to be Office Depot, but the only problem is, can they run a full schedule with sponsorship? The reason why I'm asking is because Office Depots stocks are one of the worst in the USA. They are also wondering if Office Max is going to buy them out. Wouldn't that be weird if Office Max bought them out? Because they're already on the 18 in the Nationwide Series. They are also saying either way they go, they still have a chance of going under. Smokes number will be announced today! The new number will be 14, after his hero, Aj Foyt, but how does 14 go with 66 or 70? It doesn't! Tony should look into getting 0 or 26, because they were once the numbers for HAAS/CNC Racing and HAAS/Carter Racing. If he goes with 0, maybe they could try and get Net Zero. But either way I think Tony will do great with his part ownership organization. Though I don't think they'll ever win championships.

Is David out at MWR?

I heard that David Reutimann was probably goimg to Petty Enterprises, now I do't know if this is true but I would not go there. Sure Michael Waltrip Racing is one of the worst teams on the Sprint Cup Series, well almost! Their stats aren't that impressing because they've only got ONE TOP-FIVE!!! AND ONLY THREE OR FOUR TOP-TENS! David listen!!! Stay with MWR, you would be more talented at MWR because two of the three cars are in the top thirty-five. Also, Michael Waltrip Racing is going to a two car team in 09, they haven't announced because they do not know who they are going to keep.

Can Moss Motorsports win races?

Randy Moss, million dollar football player! David Dollar... well nothing. But they have joined forces to make a truck team which started yesterday at Kentucky Speedway. But the question is, can they win in this demanding series? Of course! He has millions of dollars. But everyone wants to know if they can win with Willie Allen and the other nobodys that will be running this season? I think so, they're a building organization that could be like Kyle Busch's truck team, it's only a matter of time till' this team wins! Randy Moss Motorsports finished 15th in it's first start, well with Randy Moss as part owner. Also Randy stood out like a sore thumb! His hat slightly tilted and his baggy pants and t-shirt, come on this is NASCAR! We wear team gear and if your from Tennessee like me, you wear a ratty old t-shirt or no shirt. This is redneck country Randy!
