Never Question the Move to the C.O.T. Again!

Michael McDowell walked away from an absolutely horrendous crash (@ approx. 165 mph) this afternoon during qualifying at the Texas Motor Speedway. Thanks to to the safety barrier, the Car of Tomorrow, & the grace of God.

Interviewed just moments after, Tony Stewart said that it was like nothing he had ever witnessed. He was very impressed by how the C.O.T. helped keep McDowell safe inside the cockpit.

Sadler Out, Setzer In?

This from Jim Utter of The Charlotte Observer:

"Elliott Sadler will likely not participate in practice or qualifying Friday or Saturday as a result of an injury he sustained over the weekend, team officials said.

Craftsman Truck Series driver Dennis Setzer is scheduled to take Sadler's place in the No. 19 Dodge at Martinsville Speedway. Sadler hopes to be able to race in Sunday's Goody's Cool Orange 500.

The extent of Sadler's injury - or how it occurred - was not immediately known."

– What happened to Elliott? Why all the mystery?
