Leaving Michigan Too!
We're off to Great Lakes Naval Training Center tomorrow afternoon. My husband, myself, and my two sons. I get to see my baby girl! Yes, no matter how old they get they are always your babies. So call your mom! Often!
She graduates on Friday morning and has leave/liberty for the weekend, although she has to stay within 50 miles of the base and has to report back each night. She wants to go to the Cheesecake Factory and sleep! Those were here only requests. As far as what she wanted me to bring her ... jeans, sweat shirt, Uggs, ipod, cellphone and a straightener.
I won't be here to start a forum topic for Race Day Chit Chat, I'm sure someone can fill in?
I hope to be able to check in over the weekend. I plan on taking pictures and posting them early next week. We will be listening to the race in the car on the way home ... GO CARL! GO NAVY!

Hey everybody! Thank you for all of the letters and poems (Poet! I read them to all the girls and they liked them a lot). I'm kickin' butt here at boot camp. But, I'm getting sick of the food and the other girls. haha. Thank you everyone for being so supportive of me. I can't even begin to say how much it means to me. I miss watching the races but everyone is keeping me well posted. Less than three weeks to go! [what looks like] Mauh!

Dear Rowdy Nation
Hello everyone! I am here in boot camp enjoying the free food. It's actually not that bad, our RDC's or as you would know them "drill instructors" are actually pretty cool. We have only been here for about three weeks and they have let us make phone call twice. Thank you so much for all of the letters everyone has written me. It really does help the time pass. I will try and write you all back individually but I only get so much time. My Mom and boyfriend are keeping me updated on all Nascar stats! Thank goodness! Even though I can't watch the race I wish David luck every Friday! The only thing that's bad is the boyfriend is a Tony Stewart fan. No offense to anyone who loves the Home Depot team. I have him slowly moving over to Roush Fenway, slowly but surely. Well I have to go and dance because our RDC just turned on some music! WHOOOOO!
