On the inside
I sit on the inside,
With the Roush~Fenway group.
Watchin’ the lap times,
On the Bristol loop.
The sounds of the cars,
It soothes me, you see.
On the inside,
It’s the place to be.
The smell of fuel, rubber, and smoke,
But really, I do hate to boast.
On the inside with Carl and Greg,
Jaime, David and Matt,
It seems there’s no end.
But the weekend will end,
On Saturday night.
And the Roush~Fenway boys,
Well they came here to fight.
A Victory here,
It’s what they fight for.
Come on boys,
You know we want more.
A victory here,
The means to the end.
When the Chase for the cup,
Well, it soon shall begin.
So come on Roush~Fenway,
Don’t let us down.
After all ya’ll play,
In the best game in town.

I have arrived home, safe and sound, Tired but exuberant. The experience of Bristol Motor Speedway is one I will never forget, and I have to Thank Mr. Jack Roush and Warhead Records for the total package Trip. From entering the tunnel to having my picture taken with Carl Edwards in Victory lane, add Pitroad access, Sitting on the pitbox, eating with the 16 team, can it get any better? Oh yeah, the Media center, rubbing elbows with drivers, and meeting Mr. Roush, and Mr. Richard Childress! My weekend started with Thursday night’s event at Volunteer Speedway, located in Bulls Gap. I witnessed young 16 year old, Ty Dillon, Grandson of Richard Childress, win. That is a great Dirt Track, if you ever head up to Tennessee, you gotta go to Volunteer Speedway. Friday morning I went to Credentials, to get my hotpass, Thanks again Mr. Roush, and headed into the infield. First stop, The goodyear shop to meet the boys of Goodyear. I will be posting some pictures, but the Victory lane shot I have to wait and receive from Roush-Fenway Racing, Then I will post it as well. I also want to again thank Jon and Tina, who drove me around, invited me into their home, and are just great friends to have. Jon is a Producer for Warhead records, home of Lee Roy Mercer. Lee Roy is a trip to hang out, lol. Back to my story, we then went and walked through the Bristol infield to the hauler of Greg Biffle. We climbed up top and watched Nationwide practice, having the laptimes in front of you is fanstatic. After practice we ate lunch, homemade pizza and sausage. Those boys can cook! Then we headed out, to check in with the Jack Daniels tent. Lee Roy again was to warm up the crowd before Clint took the stage on Saturday. After that, back to Goodyear. Before the end of the Food City 250, I was tired, so we headed back to the house. We had to be back at Bristol early Saturday. I did watch the rest of the race, Congrats to the 88. Saturday morning, Back to Bristol. We spent the morning with some of the NASCAR Sprint Series guys. They are a great bunch, and they gave me a Sprint cup hat! We then headed off to the Jack Daniels tent, I felt special sitting and getting a ride in a Sprint series Golfcart, people just stared. NASCAR in general took great care of me. The Jack Daniels event went great. Lee Roy Mercer had people in stitches, from laughing and interacting with him. At 3:30 pm, we headed over to the main tent of Jack Daniels and Lee Roy Mercer appeared with Clint Bowyer. We then headed back through the tunnel, time to meet up with Mr. Roush. I presented him with a copy of my book,The NEED for SPEED in poetry and poems from both my upcoming book and my first book. Speaking of that, I found out from the 24 crew, that Mr. Hendrick called a meeting after I sent him copies of the poems, Always and Angel Heart, and my current book. So I felt kinda like a celebrity. Me being known by the Hendrick teams, WOW! I also had access to the endless Pepsi supply, Thanks HMS. We then headed off to pitroad. I have pictures of a couple drivers, I will post them. We hung around, then headed off to the war wagon (Pitbox) for the 16 Team. I spent the evening wandering around the pits, watching the race, you can get whip lash at Bristol,lol.. Those cars fly! With forty laps to go, I climbed into the wagon, and Carl soon took the lead! All the Roush-Fenway teams cheered when he won, then we headed off to Victory lane. If you watched the race, DID you see me, I was on National Television, in the crowd. As soon as I get a hold of that portion, I will post it! After the group shot was taken, we headed down to the media center. That was cool, watching Carl talk and answer questions. We then headed back up to Victory lane, for the Roush-Fenway pictures. When Mr. Roush sent me into Victory lane with Lee Roy Mercer and Carl Edwards, well all I can say is, It was GREATTTTTT!!! Carl has strong hands, as he placed me in the middle of him and Lee Roy, he said I was short and needed to be there. I know alot of you girls would have loved being in my place,lol.. Standing in Victory lane with Carl Edwards arm around you! WOOHOO!! We arrived home about 3 am! Well thats my Bristol story, I had a blast, and am already making plans for next years Sharpie 500!!
Have a great week, The Auto Club Speedway event is next. Off to California the boys go!
P.S. I wrote a new poem, while sitting on the step of the 16 hauler. will post it later. Mr. Roush has already given his approval of it!
So in 4 days I board my flight for Bristol, and I am stoked! Bristol has always been my favorite venue in the NASCAR season. She reminds me of the Roman colliseum, and you never know just who she will bite! She is a small girl, like me, but nasty when riled, we have alot in common,lol.. I have to Thank both Warhead Records and Roush-Fenway Racing, For making this dream trip come true. And a Special thanks to Jon and Tina, whom I will be staying with, ya’ll just totally rock! I have left instructions for feeding the animals, schedule for the child, as she starts high school the 25th, and made sure the pantry is full, lol They are set! Now I really need to start packing, I want to be able to grab and go Thursday morning. I still haven’t heard from Lee Roy, I knew he would chicken out, well it ain’t easy hangin with me, so I guess an ol’ man couldn’t keep up, and Lee Roy is gettin’ up there,lol….... See if that flushes him out! I know his fans are wonderin’ where he is hidin’.. I’m bettin’ he’s hangin’ somewhere on some dirt track venue, raisin’ you know what!
Ya’ll have a great week, and I should have some stories to tell, Some pictures to post, ect… when I return!
Have a great week, Enjoy Today’s race, and Bristol, Remember the Trucks run Wednesday night!!

Yep, Tropical storm Edouard is headed directly at me! And they expect it to strengthen into a cat.1 Hurricane by landfall. HURRICANE PARTY! Shouldn't be more then rain and wind, but I may lose electricity, which means no internet. I will check in as soon as I can. Well I better finish getting everything secured and then take care of the horse's stall, and get her ready.

That is what I have been wondering. Is the domination of one team, over all, a good thing for the sport? Now no one can stand and tell me that the Brat isn't, a talented driver, At only twenty-three years of age, Kyle Busch has undenably taken the sport of NASCAR, like a Texas twister takes a barn. But over all, Is that a good thing, or bad? I see empty stands, alot of which can be explained by the over four dollars a gallon gas. But with Toyota's domination this year, in all three series, I can not help but wonder: Is it a good thing for NASCAR, or will this be the straw that breaks the Camel's back, as far as the Fans are concerned. Now I can already read the responses:
Real NASCAR fans will remain,
Yeah keep telling yourself that. With Brat dominating, the races are lacking the excitement, we the fans have come to expect from NASCAR. I believe the word I am looking for is Boring... Now I really tried to watch the entire Race, Saturday night. I took a nap, drank me an Amp energy Drink, and still, fell asleep. And even the first under the lights race at Chicagoland, well I found what I did manage to catch, Boring and lacking. But there may be a light at the end of the tunnel, TNT coverage is gone, for another year,lol.. I pray that ABC and ESPN, first off, Dress the commentators better, or at least make sure their ties don't cause vertigo,hehehe.. And provide what we the fans want, Flag to Flag coverage and beyond! So I am looking forward to a weekend off, well a Sunday. Think I'll go fishing, I hear the bass calling me now...... Have a great week,

So I wrote this after last week's Nationwide race, So I finally found some inspiration, last week's road course was great! I love road courses, They should run three a year, it makes the boys really have to wheeel those cars. So here is the Poem;
Had this talk
From the youngster we hear;
I’ll use my bumper, Up against yours.
Up to the front,
And I’ll continue to dump.
Anyone, who gets in my way.
I’m a rookie of NASCAR,
And I’m here to stay!
Hello,
Just a veteran here.
You just spun me, So now I fear.
A Lesson,
Must now be learned.
I think I’ll wait, Til you’re in the turn.
Then with a bump, Grinning so wide.
I’ll teach you,
Not to mess with my ride!
You have so much,
To learn here son.
If you seek success,
When it’s all said and done.
And wreckin’ race cars,
Is not the key.
See some of your moves,
Can cause you to bleed.
So just calm down,
Run a good race.
Or in the future,
We may meet face to face.
I’m really glad,
We had this talk.
Maybe today,
I won’t have to stalk.
Cos’ I’ll use my bumper,
Up against yours.
And to be real blunt,
I’ll wave as I pass you,
On my way to the front.

Last year, all season long, the talk of NASCAR was, who would be the new Primary Sponsor of what was then, The Busch Series. In 2003, the same over who would sponsor the Premier series of racing. So where is all the hoopla over who will be the new sponsor of the now Craftsman Truck series? Did Craftsman decide to stay and no one told us or what? Who are the front runners, where are the sponsors jumping, and screaming, pick me,pick me? Inquiring minds want to know! The Truck series has become a favorite among the old fans, racing like we grew up with, so why is it not important? Why is the media completely ignoring the lack of a primary sponsor, next season, for the Truck series? Will the series dissappear like the Iroc series? I hope not! So I want to see something, come on now, I know the boys can find out, Buck, Bass, Cutler? Hello, get on this and find me some answers! I know of alot of good companies that could sponsor the series, here are just a few:
The AT&T Truck series
The Verizon Truck series
The Kobalt Truck series
The Subway Truck series
The All-State Truck series
The State Farm Truck series,
ect.....ect........ect...........
I think it is a fair question to ask, why is this series being totally left with a huge void after this season, Who will have the big balls and stand up, re-adjust themselves and announce that the Truck series will have a new sponsor? Hello NASCAR, are you there, push away from all the legal mumbo-jumbo and give the fans some info please!!! I am just a busy little bee today huh?? As my withdrawls stop, awwwww.. My Rowdy, like a fix of good drugs, this place is,lol... Pass the bong full of Rowdy please,lol..........
That would be me I guess,lol... Maybe me and Kyle Busch can start a support group,lol...
So I spent the entire morning on the phone with my team of attorneys, who told me that the attorneys in the case, probably set the monies. But even they said that it is an exuberant amount to ask for. They also questioned the motives, wondering as I am, why she never contacted any Government agency or the NAACP, if racial slurs were being thrown at her. Me and my research, but I really wanted to know, why such an amount would be placed on what is basically a Civil rights violation case. Then I called a friend, who is a police officer, emailed him a link to the lawsuit pages, and he said the same thing, it is money motivated, oh yeah, he is a man of color, and agreed it sounds like she is angry and hurt. He also wondered why she had not contacted the NAACP, or the wage and labor board, to file a official complaint. So as all of you jump all over me, calling me rude and out of touch, A racist, ect... I still say she now is looking for a payoff. And he also said the next time someone starts ragging on Rednecks, to remind ya'll, rednecks are not just white, we are all colors, and we come from all over the United States, not just the South. Also she is not the only employee of color NASCAR or the teams employ, there are alot employed within NASCAR's vast boundaries. Again if she was harrassed in any way it WAS WRONG, and I do not condone any racial or sexist behavior, But the real facts are, most of us women do deal with it, in some way or another. Everytime a man refers to me as a spinner, should I be insulted? Everytime a man brushes against me, should I scream assault? Everytime a man sprays me with water, hoping to see boobies, should I sue? In the United States, there is an average of 200,000 frivious lawsuits filed, costing Taxpayer's millions, and wasting the courts time. Preventing Important cases, such as Child molestation, murder, and rape from being heard. Again if the allergations are true, Shame on the individuals who are guilty! But should the entire sport pay for it? That is like saying all Muslims are terrorists, or like the US placing Japanese Americans into enturnment camps during WWII. You can not blame all, for the actions of a few! I have friends of all colors, and religious backgrounds since the way I look at it, we all bleed Red, we are all human, And GOD created us all! So continue to hate me if you wish, I will not lose any sleep over it, I promise. I know I am a good person, and have alot of friends and fans who will stand up for me!
Finally, I am moved into the new house! YEAHHHH, I have 52 bruises, ouch but so happy to be out of the hellhole, I can care less about bruises, they will heal! It may take a year to unpack everything, and boy do I have alot of NASCAR stuff,lol... I never realized just how much til I had to pack it all and move it,lol.. The Dale collection took three large boxes, think I have it bad? By Wednesday I was so ready for some racin'! So I have to Thank Tony Stewart for the Prelude, it provided a great show, and Lee Roy was funny! Never thought I would see a friend on HBO PPV, but I did, I did,lol... So how are all of you? Is it hot where you are at yet? Hot here in south Texas! I have written a couple new poems, so I guess I should include one, see if I get any comments. No I really like this one, and it is new, and will be included in my third book:
The Pitstops of Poetry
Feels good to be back, Hiya Susie, GiGi, Becky, Buck, Bass, Cutler, ect........ that would have been a long list, if I said hi to everyone, So have I been missed? I have been so busy, moving, promoting, writing, ect.... Anyway here is the newest, of my many, many poems..
In the sport
In the sport, That I follow.
In the sport, That I love.
That need for speed,
Is never quite done.
And remains part,
Of all of the fun.
Watchin’ my boys,
As they race around.
There may come a caution,
Debris or a wreck.
A tire may blow,
Against the fence they may rest.
In the sport, There is passion.
Very easily seen.
Tempers may flare,
Cause a big scene.
But the fans?
Well, We love it!
Part of the show.
It’s part of the reason,
Each year we all go.
In the sport, That we follow.
In the sport, That we love.
NASCAR, we know,
Will provide the big guns.
America’s racing,
It must be seen.
My racing is waiting,
It’s time for the green!

A Summer of giving
Okay so I have been thinking, dangerous I know,lol… And here is what I have come up with. We are the greatest fans in the world, and I believe there is nothing we cannot do. So I am setting forth a challenge, to the santioning body of NASCAR, The teams, and the 75 million fans! I think we should make the summer of 2008, a summer of giving. Here is what I am proposing;
NASCAR, The Teams, Home Depot and Lowes place bins at the tracks, and in their stores, on these bins it shall read; NASCAR’s Summer of giving. Now this is where we come in, If each of us, 75 million strong, each place one canned or non-perishable food item into a bin. That is 75 million food products. In 2005 the national average of Hungry Americans was at about 9.5 million. Now I imagine that with rising fuel costs, and rising food costs, that number
has probably doubled. Half of that number, are children and families who rely on the school year to provide a reduced or free hot meal, we also offer Breakfast in Texas as I am sure other states do. So School is almost out, and that leaves those families without a way to feed their children. I also imagine that there are NASCAR fans out there who are in this situation. So I am challenging us all, Let’s see if NASCAR can once again prove it is the Best motorsports in America, by helping out Hungry Americans. The food collected can be delivered to local area food banks, feeding Americans, and once again proving, we are the biggest caring family there is!
So what do ya’ll think? I know we can do it, I hope NASCAR reads this, and does it, proving again that NASCAR truly cares!
Thank you in advance!
