I know this isn't exactly NASCAR related, but I have an idea. How about if "all" my Rowdy friends, and that means EVERYBODY in the Rowdy Nation, tell me what they paid for gas the last time they stopped at the pump. I'll start. I paid 4.45 a gallon for 87 octane today in Santa Rosa Ca. That's probably the best price in this town at the moment. Let me know what you're all paying out there at the moment, and your location. Maybe we can grieve as a "Rowdy Nation"!
One more thing. Go Jeff Gordon! (Sorry about that) - Kenny
Way to go Jr!!!!! Just when I thought another caution was going to ruin Dales day, he managed to win it anyway. A great day indeed!
Just a thought on the ratings increase. I wonder if more people are staying home on the weekends at the moment, due to the soft economy and cost of fuel. Maybe more people are tuning in instead of going out on Sunday....
Leave Infineon out of any equations Bruton may have. If Grand Am racing is that great, trade one of your dates for it! We pack this track to capacity every June, so those numbers should be enough to take it off the table....
So I'm watching The Travel Channel, and they've got a food show on talking about deep fried foods. They came across a diner somewhere in Texas I think that batters and deep fries bacon. My question to the Rowdy Nation is, Has anybody out there actually eaten deep fried bacon? And if you have, how does it taste? I've never tried it myself, but I could see myself liking it. Let me know your thoughts!
Woo Hoo! Jeff and Jr. on the front row at Atlanta! Any thoughts on who will lead the first lap? My thought here is Jeff will lead lap 1, then it'll be ballls out after that.
I thought it was a very enjoyable Daytona 500, and my guy finished 39th! Today he is 39th in the points standings, but I still liked the race. Where did all the Dodges come from? 7 of them in the top 12 at the moment.
Lauren probably enjoyed the race, as did, Max! I'll bet Susie was cussing out David Ragan, and Phoenyx is pissed at JP Montoya. Thinking of the fellow "Rowdezians" during the race is scaring me!
And to the folks in the chat room, look who's in 26th! The Terminator!
NASCAR.com keeps freaking me out. Last week it was the headline, "Gordon joins Everham". This week it is "Gordon fails inspection for 500". I guess I've got to remember that there are TWO Gordons out there!
Aaarrrhhhh!!!!
Well I got a little excited when I saw the headline, but then read a little deeper and realized it was "Robby" Gordon they were talking about. I didn't see that one coming either.
