Welcome!, or "good to be here"
I'm not sure exactly when I started listening to the Rowdy podcast.... sometime during the 2006 season, I think. Found it on iTunes but I didn't have an ipod, so I had to download it to the comptuter and listen from there. After the race season ended I forgot about rowdy, until this past September, when I bought an ipod. I found the podcast again and have been listening every day, even at the track!
You may be asking yourself "why has this guy been listening to the podcast for a year and a half and never joining the site?!?" Well the short answer is, I'm lazy. But I figured why go through the trouble of registering on another site when I can already listen to the podcast and get my nascar news. Well I was wrong! I've been registered 45 minutes, and already joined in the forum discussion, and browsed around for a bit.
I heard on the podcast how friendly this community is, but it still blew away my expectations. This is the only web community I've joined where within minutes, I had a friend request and several people just stopping by to say hello and welcome to the site.
So thanks to Buck, Bass, Cutler, everyone I'm leaving out, and the website people for everything you do, it's pretty awesome to see nascar fans come together like this. And thanks to the other members of the site for being so welcoming of me and the others who just joined!
