What do we know for sure?
The 66 is on the bubble for the top 35, and poised to be guaranteed a spot in the first 5 races for next season.
Tony in the 70 (new sponsor, number, crew) this will guarantee making the first 5 races via the past champions provisional.
What happens to Scott Riggs? He is a solid driver, who can compete, and help a sponsor and a team.
Who goes in the 66? Newman, Mears, Truex, Schrader, Sauter, or Riggs.
Sponsors - Old Spice, Office Depot, GM, or Haas.
I don't have answers but let’s speculate and try to figure it out, but if we follow the money Office Depot is losing to Staples and needs a boost, Old Spice is owned by Procter and Gamble, which also owns Gillette, and old NASCAR favorite TIDE. So what if P&G sponsors Tony and does a multi branded sponsorship, like General Mills does on the 43. Then Office Depot, GM, and Haas Automation can be on the 66. But who is the driver?
With all of the feedback from my Dale Earnhardt Jr. being a traitor forum, I have decided to put my fan loyalty up for auction on ebay.
I have been a Dale Sr. fan all of my life, and now as the business of NASCAR has changed I have put my fan loyalty up for auction on ebay. The winnings will go to the Victory Junction Camp.
