Who Am I:
I'm a simple kind of guy with my heart in the right place and my priorities in check. I was raised with humble upbringing and my attitude is be appreciative to everyone that does something for you. Of course I'm a Nascar fan. I tell the non fans I understand it's not for everybody, but if you've never been to one race, you really need to see it in person once in your life. It's great.
Favorite Track:
Richmond International Raceway
Favorite Racing Moment:
The Winston when Earnhardt & Kyle Petty were racing hard on the last lap. The end result was Earnhardt spun, Kyle slowed and Davey Allison caught him and wrecked as he crossed the finish line as the winner
How I discovered Rowdy, and why I Listen:
I found Jayski.com early on when the net became popular. I found your link via his page.
Why I'm a race fan:
Because of my Dad and us getting cable TV! He was always a lite fan, but we didn't have much exposure to it til we got cable and had ESPN and TNN. We started making it our regular Sunday tradition as I was growing up.

I've been doing some thinking about all the events of Junior and DEI this season and it has me really asking if Junior loses some of his fan base, would it really bother him? Look at the facts, he's very low key and down to earth in his ways and the fans and media play him up like a rockstar. Reporters want to know every little thing about him to "make" their story or report. They know he's a selling machine and he's a sponsors dream, but wasn't he wanting in his new contract to cut back on personal appearances? Have you ever heard such a fuss about any other driver getting a certain number? Or such a huge rumor mill on who is gonna sponsor him and how how such a huge mob thinks Theresa is a witch.....don't they remember she was Earnhardt Sr's love? I personally think Junior is looking to please his fans with wins and championships because he's Dale the driver and not son of Earnhardt. If he wanted to make his fan base explode he could have easily signed with RCR and drive a black GM goodwrench car...preferably with a "3" on the door, but he doesn't want that shadow, he is his own person, his own driver in a different generation than his Dad drove. Nobody wanted Dale Sr. to drive a number 8 because his Dad Ralph did, so why would Junior want that? I really think Junior got his fill of the crazy fans when they plummable Gordons car with cans for breaking Sr's record. He doesn't want to be the face of that kind of idiocracy. That's not what he's about. Bass can you imagine if you had that kind of popularity over the rest of the Rowdy crew and no matter what you do, the fans go nuts over anything you say or do (I'm guessing they don't, right?) But yeah you'd gloat about it for a while, but it would grow tiresome after a while.....right Bass? I said right Bass? Ha! Well you get the picture. I think to go to Hendericks and be Gordons team mate instead of rival is a recipe he hopes to steer away the "fanatics" and keep the loyal followers in tow.
I was just thinking that most of todays crew chiefs have probably at one time or another had been behind the wheel of a race car (pre crew chief days, Robbie Reiser and post crew chief days Kirk Shelmerdine come to mind). So with them being so knowledgeable on their cars, why wouldn't they get behind the wheel during a test session or practice to get a second opinion of what it may be lacking? I understand that they aren't approved to get on the track, but wouldn't it help them understand their equipment even better? The teams are always looking for a way to get the upper hand on their competition? They all hire extra drivers to do nothing more than test cars.
