Quote/Motto: Time flies like an arrow, but fruit flies like a banana. ~Groucho Marx
Favorite Driver: David Gilliland
Driver I won't be sending a Christmas card:
Robby Gordon
Favorite Track:
Bristol Motor Speedway
Favorite Racing Moment:
Sadler flipping.
How I discovered Rowdy, and why I Listen:
iTunes great ratings.
Why I'm a race fan:
My son was into any kind of cars, so we taped a Travel Channel show on NASCAR and decided to follow a car. We chose M&Ms because we like them!
What car/truck I drive now:
2005 VW Golf TDI (42MPG)
My dream car:
2008 VW Rabbit TDI
This is even worse than M&Ms leaving the sport! I followed Schraeder to Sadler and Sadler to Gilliland, but...I don't like Kyle! It would be nice to see the M&Ms car up front again, though...

So funny. Here's a semi-cheesy video promoting Wrigley's new contest (oh look, there's an ad for it up there :) and in it, one of the questions asked to the drivers is "boxers or briefs?"
Dark Star says, "Uhh, depends." And the quick interviewer says, "You wear Depends?"
The interviews and memories of "Mr. France" was very welcome and done with class. Thanks for helping those of us who are new to the sport gain the perspective on how much has changed in the last few decades.
The interview about how Days of Thunder was shot was interesting, too. I had no idea that those cars were in the actual Daytona 500
Finally, the conversation about why Kurt Busch should be parked made a lot of sense. The comparison to the penalty the 8 team was given for what was undoubtedly a minor infraction was very helpful.
Keep it up
Hey Buck, Bass, Cutler, and everyone else involved in the podcast, I just wanted to thank you for putting out such a professional product on a daily basis. So many podcasts out there are an hour of just what y'all call the outtro. They're very annoying to listen to. Your show, on the other hand, is well written and a joy to listen to. I remember when I first started listening that I thought it was strange that you could have multiple takes on the news because the banter sounds so natural; but that's also a sign of good writing. As a corporate movie-maker, I understand how hard it is to make a script that reads well and is short enough to not get boring (like this blog may be turning out ).
So anyway. Thanks again, and keep up the good work. I can't wait to order my American flag Rowdy Nation t-shirt.
Did you notice on today's podcast that The Professor, a self-described intellectual, stooped to swear words to pepper his discussion instead of other more thoughtful adjectives? I mean, at the very least he could have said that he wouldn't watch "that asinine race." That's one of those intellectual words that sounds like swearing, but isn't :)
I just returned from my 30-minute "Walk with Rowdy" and I stopped in my tracks when I heard that JP "Dark Star" Montoya was starting next to my M&Ms car On the one hand, it would be great to see some payback, but on the other hand I wouldn't want Gilliland to do anything to hurt his car. Those should be some fun pace laps, though
Here's hoping that in the 600 Montoya stays far away from my M&Ms car. Gilliland's actually good on the big tracks :)
Some of you may already know how to do this, but since it took me a few years to fine-tune it, I thought I'd share. When I first got TiVo, I used to get season passes for each of the broadcasts on each of the networks. That was a pain because when it would come close to the network switchover, I had to find the names of the shows and set it up twice each year.
Then I made a Wishlist search on Title="NASCAR Racing" and that automatically got me all of the races from any channel. But I don't watch Busch or Truck racing ('cause, well, I have a life outside of watching racing) so I would then have to go in every week to the To Do List and manually delete the Busch and Truck schedules.
This year what I figued out is that I can do a Keyword Wishlist for "Nextel" and add the category Sports - Auto Racing. This records all shows on any channel that has the word Nextel in the title or description and is auto racing. It's been working beautifully, and I don't have to set it up each year.
I hope this helps someone out there. Oh, also, when you set the wishlist to automatially record, don't forget to go into option and set the stop time to one hour later.
Nag, nag, nag on the podcast every day, so here I am :)
