Stop pretending to cut people in half when you could be showing racing. That was appallingly stupid. Horrible Coverage!!
Buck you should really learn how to say what you feel, lol
Good idea Cutler, cut each other in half, let Bass be the one that gets cut.
I agree what in the hell was TNT thinking? That was a joke!
Well at least you all have real commercials!! Oha even if it is a crapy coverage the race does eventually come back on!! Armed Forces Network just has Government comercials and only like five of them so you see the same ones over and over and over and over and......well I think you get the point. And to top it off sometimes they cut the race off half way through to show a Tennis match! Cause that is what Our Armed forces wants to see!!
Wait....I just noticed Larry Mac. I know Blonde moment!! Anyhow give me a brake first race I've seen since the 500. When did he move to TNT?
We had a Girls Gone Wild one once and it was mighty awkward; therefore, I turned to the Disney Channel.
And you may think I'm kidding.
TNT is awful. Everything from the horrible technologic snafus to bad reporting and coverage and the same awful promos for Saving Grace and The Closer. Gawwd!!! And what was Larry Mac thinking with the magic trick crap?
BTW I know the cable business and the Girls Gone Wild and Playboy Channel spots came from your local cable company not TNT.
The only good thing that TNT did was to do some interviews with some of the old guys. Buddy Baker, Harry Gant, Rex White. It bothers me how much Fox and ESPN ignore these guys.
Jeff you make a good point. Fox doesn't do the old timers the service they deserve and TNT does. However in Fox's defense that's SPEED TV's job. After all SPEED is owned by Fox and I guess they delegate that to them. TNT does an hour long pre-race show where they bring the special features. SPEED does Race Day which is sort of like the Fox Channels version of a pre-race show. But when you get down to the actual race coverage Buck is dead on, TNT SUCKS.
The best thing about TNT's coverage was the Race Buddy on the web (dumb name, though). It was better than the "wide open coverage"; during the commercials I just hit mute and shift my gaze to the computer. I caught many cautions during breaks that way. I think all the networks need to do something like that.
Yeah the coverage was spotty, the magic show was lame, but I did enjoy the prerace pieces. Also, I enjoyed their wide open coverage format for Daytona. Still, I wished Fox would do all of the races.
I agree! First they talk about B.S. and they're so freaking boring! How much longer till' Fox get's coverage over every dang race? GO DARRELL!!!
Race Buddy Rocks! There was no delay, stuff happened in real time, and then would happen on the TV, I also found that I could listen to two driver scanners at once by using Race Buddy and the Nascar.com scanner. Too bad that's over with.
I SO TOTALY AGREE I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE ASKING WTF WAS GOING ON DURING GREEN FLAG LAPS WERE WATCHING LARRY MAC DO STUPID MAGIC...LET FOX TAKE OVER....I THINK I CORRECT THEM MORE TIMES EVERY RACE ABOUT CALLING SHRUB KURT BUSH .....I HATE KURT BUSH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I missed the race, so I don't really know what you're talking about with the magic tricks, but it sounds pretty bad.
I don't even watch TNT's pre race show. They drag it out way too long, and it's not very entertaining.
From Matt McL's column this week:
Troubling quote from the booth: “Matt Kenseth is trying to get inside of Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
Um, Houston...we have a problem.
TNT, FOX, and ESPN, all have their ups and downs. TNT gives the worst overall experience. Their team of Webber, Wally, and Kyle has no chemistry. There is no quality pre race, and with Webber has the host for both we leaves us totally feel unengaged. ESPN, is getting better and has the tools it is still early for them. FOX has the time, and has the right pieces in place, but they are very biased about who and what stories they cover. I don't feel I get the whole race when I watch FOX. But quess what I will keep watching
