Last year when Dale Jr. announced that he would be driving for Hendrick Motorsports, the Rowdy Nation considered it fair game to critique Jr's new car graphics. With that precedent, it's fair game to critique the Stewart-Haas Racing logo.
In the aftermath of the press conference it was said that the logo appears to have been designed by a 5th grader. 5th graders should be offended. The logo is a primitive thing. It appears to be the effort of about one hour of work, done the morning of the press conference after someone suddenly realized that they needed a logo for a prop in the afternoon.

I'm with you on this one 'dude. It reflects the unfortunate, but common attitude toward graphic design of, "Hey, my nephew is real good at 'drawling' horses, let me ask him to whip one up."
Haha!! So true I totaly agree with you on this one!! It is almost as bad as the morale posters the military has for its personel!! Haha!! Lets hope something better comes about!
To me, part of the problem is the names are getting so long. You don't just have Rousch Racing, or Hendrick Motorsports. Now it's "Gillette Evernham Motorsports", or remember we almost had "Newman Haas Lanigan Yates Motorsports". Now how you going to fit that on a hat?
Todd, I caught that. Ha! Yeah it does look like it was whipped up in a hurry, but hell wasn't it just last week he was saying he was interested in the # 5 at Hendricks? I don't think he really knew what he was gonna do until Martin took the #5. I think they'll come up with a more permanent logo. Lets hope so.
A friend of mine told me that he heard on Tony's radio show that the logo was temporary and they are working on a "new and improved" team logo. I sure hope so, that is one ugly and poorly designed logo.
That design is near embarrassing. There is no flow to it at all. I'm hoping that they are investing a little more time into an improved logo cause I wouldn't want to sport that on a shirt.
It's funny, cause I'm sure they think that people won't care and that it looks fine, but even the untrained eye can see that the effort put into their logo was lame at best.
Maybe it was designed by the same insane asylum patients that David Poole says designs the traffic patterns at the speedway.
Nate, those are significantly better than what they brought out yesterday.
The more I look at the logo that flanked Tony at the press conference, the more the word "WART" pops out at me.
My understanding is that this was their first attempt.

But lawyers explained to Tony that there might be a problem.
Who ever said that Tony said on his radio show that the logo is temporary is wrong. His radio show airs on Monday, the announcement was made on Thursday. I'm more intereseting in see the cars and who the other driver is than worrying about the logo
