couldn't tell u who the writer is but I live 2 miles from the Brazos and I was born in Texas but not rasied but deep down I've ALWAYS known it was my place to call home

I have to agree with John about Austin. I have done many bike shows there & Austin is where the good old musician's go to live & play there hearts & souls out. I to love Austin for that reason.
Shoot i'm thinking about selling my land in Florida & moving out to Texas because for me i would be a lot closer to the rallies i do & a lot less miles to drive to get to the shows each year or two. Trust me i travel from the rockies east every year dong shows. And i'm talking from Feb. thru the end of Dec, Not much of a break on this gal each year. However i also have 10 acreas in Oklahoma as well. So i can get a small break at times & go to my other house. I do lots of rallies in OK as well as Tx. But more in Tx. I like the dry heat in Tx & OK over the high high of Fl. any day.
For me i have to drive exactly 970 miles from Fl. to my first show in Tx. every year. Now that is dead miles for me. Pulling a fully loaded trailor i get right at 10 miles per gal. Yes that bites at the high prices of gas now. The sad thing i pack 2 heavy duty sewing machines, 1 has a free arm the other is a flat top machine & each are 300 pounds each. My set up is 500 pounds by it's self. But i know it's not going no where in storms. It has been thru twisters as well as 79 mile straight line winds and my set up was the only one left standing. I saw lots of others get twisted up but not mine. That is why i take it because i kno what it can do for me. So take care & ride safe, Lou Anne
