Man, I just saw this silver/black color scheme for the 88 that will appear at the Sprint Cup All-Star Race and I'm totally diggin' it! I'd love to get a diecast of this ride but it won't be out until late summer. I wish this was one of his regular cars on the circuit.
NASCAR is letting him run with CHROME numbers too, which is a NO-NO in the rules. But since its an ALL-STAR race they are letting him choose from a certain chrome font and number.
That is the coolest. It says "muscle car" or something... not quite sure. Reminds me a bit of his dads look while being totally different. With all the colors they've been throwin' on the cars over the years (take M&M's for example) it's like we've been in a Peter Max frame of mind when it comes to a nice lookin' paint job. It's refreshing that someone was able to get the same effect (affect?) by taking the colors away. Oh, hate to ruin it for anybody, but it just came to mind that it looks like a hershery chocolate bar. Wait.... that's brown and silver not black and silver... right? P.S., I saw this same pic over in the Jayski galleries. What does "FPO" mean, anyway?
Definition: FPO means For Position Only. FPO is the placement of a blank placeholder or a temporary low-resolution illustration in the required location and size on the camera ready artwork to indicate where an actual image is to be placed on the final film or plate. FPO images are commonly used when you've been supplied actual photographic prints or other type of artwork to be scanned or photographed for inclusion
Looks like Buddy Baker's '80 Daytona 500 winner with a dash of RCR Goodwrench thrown in. Sharp livery.
