2:50 PM (EST): The last REAL batch of showers/downpours is moving through Fontana right now. Then behind it there are VERY scattered showers. But the real question is.. how wet is the track? Dennis pointed out already that the infield is drenched and the poor drainage at the racetrack. That is the real question. And it is not up for me to answer. Track officials are going to have a tough time answering that one. Just in case.. the forecast for tomorrow:
Some early Patchy fog. Then clearing. With High temperatures around 68*. It will be A MUCH Better day.
12:30 PM (EST): Things are improving in California. One more band of showers should move through the area in about an hour. Look for drying conditions afterwards. And a racing window could develop. The onshore flow continues to weaken. Meaning good news for anyone wanting to go racing today! We may just have a delay to dry the race at the start.
11:45 AM (EST): If you look at radar from the area they are experiencing decent rain (And will be for atleast the next 2 hours) around the speedway. However the onshore flow appears to be slowing down just a bit. (Meaning the moisture coming in off of the coast is slowing down a bit). The chances of rain will decrease as the day progresses but will it be enough? I'll keep watching the radar.
