Sucks being you

As a Dale Jr. Fan I hated to see him lose that race last night. I'm sure even a few non Jr. fans wanted to see him break the losing streak. I've watched that bit of video of the wreck at least thirty times and it is was it is, NASCAR.
Kyle is who he is right now. Very immature, but a very good driver. I don't think anyone can question his driving skill. We've seen the kid save his ass countless times. It's easy to jump to the conclusion that he intentionally drove into Jr. He's done it before and he'll do it again. That's his style. Mark Martin would have raced him clean as would several other drivers. I'm not saying he should give up the win, far from it. It did however show Kyle's notorious impatience. Why take the chance of wrecking both cars when you're able to get a better run the next lap? It was, as they say, a racing deal. It sucks for Hamlin, it sucks for Jr. it sure as hell sucks for Johnny Sauter.
I won't defend his comments after the race, most were cheap shots shirking responsibility, and void of integrity. At least he didn't say he was just trying to rattle his cage.

IRON MAN

Just saw it and it was on par with Spiderman 2. Very fun, effects were spot on gorgeous, Do yourself a favor and stay till the end of the credits.

Parents:

Be warned there is a fair amount of violence in the film. It is a movie about weapons and the disastrous effects they cause. It's not gory but there is a body count.

He's also in the top 12. I don't think anyone expected that.

Battlestar Galactica (way off topic)

The new and last season begins tonight and I am pretty frakkin' stoked. I've stayed away from spoilers and forums. I'm just gonna let it play out and enjoy it. I have my theories but, they're kinda crackpot. Then again I could be dead on because the the writers have laid it out fairly clear.
I'm still clueless as to the who final Cylon could be. It's not Starbuck.

the new hat

I did it. Not five minutes ago. I bought a new Jr. 88 hat from nascar.com. I check the site often to see what's new, but I'm not one to buy things for myself. I'm one of those hat guys that rarely if ever is sans hat, cap, cover or toque, if you're Canadian. I'm a creature of habit. I have many hats but wear only one, and I'll wear that damn thing till it falls off my head in a tattered mess. I do have an alternate if el número un sombrero gets too stinky. Of course there is a bit of self loathing pride at the ripe stench of one's favorite hat. Much like that of a fart. It's your's, you own that funk, you gave birth to it and like an unruly child you love it. Plus, it's fun to give my special lady "The Stink Hat". Be careful with that move it'll sure as shinola get your beloved crown of cloth tossed right out of the car window.
Today in the wee hours I just had to have that hat. By the time I finish this blog I'll be chest deep into buyers remorse and feeling that I shouldn't have spent the money. Not that it was a large sum of money, but it's the act of buying anything for myself. I about had a coronary when I bought my ipod a few years ago. Heart racing, flop sweat, ringing ears, the whole deal. I even forgot where I parked. It took a full twenty-four hours for me to open the box.
Yeah, so anyway I bought a new Jr. hat. I had to. You know, to support the Nation of Jr. and all that jazz.

Side Note:

I bought the black and green hat with Dew on the front and 88 on the side. I couldn't and will likely never wear anything with National Guard on it. No, let's just go ahead and say never. I'm a Marine, then, now and always. I mean no disrepect to those in the other branches of the US armed forces. I whole heartedly support the troops as I do the Marines.
There are troops and there are Marines and there is a difference.
