How I discovered Rowdy, and why I Listen:
As a podcaster, I found rowdy years ago searching for nascar podcasts. I found a few, but rowdy is the only one I kept listening too (even during the "cingular" era)

Too many sponsors?
Hi Nation! I hope you are having a merry holiday season. I'm listening to Rowdy on my new iPod (which I actually bought myself. If you want a good present you have to do it yourself.)
So did I hear Brian France correctly in his state of NASCAR, there are more sponsors than they need? Does he mean NASCAR has stolen more sponsors than they needed away from the teams? Didn't we see teams fold this year because they couldn't find a sponsor? Aren't drivers like Boris Said and Robby Gordon foaming at the mouth for a sponsor? Can someone explain to me what Brian meant? Or are you as confused as I am?
George, I think he, Brian, was trying to say that with all the new Offsprings of NASCAR, they had to transfer funds to other areas of the sport, to generate more revenue, to transfer to other areas. I think What he really meant to say was, there are plenty of sponsors for the amount of air time that they are willing to pay for and plenty of sponsors left for the little man, like me! Dale Jr

I read a good article a while back (I don't remember where I saw it) where Jack Roush was interviewed. Jack was very angry that NASCAR had so many official sponsors and that many of those sponsors should be directed to teams. Jack did not like the fact that he had to compete with NASCAR for sponsors.
