Everyone got what they wished for from Jr!

Ummm... I do recall everyone wishing Jr could be more like Sr. Well I actually think he proved to all of you that he could drive like him if he wanted to. Yeah being a Jr fan I'll be the first to admit Jr had several screw ups today with the pits and again with his silly move on Vickers, but I'm not seeing anyone talkin about Vickers comin down on Jr forcing him below the line, yeah he overcorrected and did so way too soon, but doesn't Jr's spotter share part of that responsibility? The pit box mistakes was all on Jr, but the last one should be shared with his jack guy, he should have seen he was on the line and never touched the darn car until it was in the box right. Not makin excuses for Jr cause he did make several mistakes today but it's not like he's the only driver out there that has made these mistakes. I recall several races last year where he was involved in wrecks and was taken out by another drivers mistake. He screwed up this is true but people should stop expecting miracles and perfection from him just because of his name. Everyone just needs to let him be himself and remember, he's just as human as the rest of the field. Yes mistakes happened today, as they did last year, the year before and I'm sure they'll continue to happen to many more drivers out there including Jr.. Today just happen to be a bad day for him. Everyone talks about how he should be penalized for driving wreckless, I think there was more to that Nationwide race than that guy just driving wreckless and Nascar would have to be the one to answer why that was. One thing I noticed in the race today and no one has said a word about it is the fact that Jamie Mac advanced a position with his wheels on the yellow line. Isn't that against the rules? Yet nothing was mentioned. Oh well it sucks to be Junior after today I guess....or not! I have to applaud Kyle on his interview today though. He showed a great amount of maturity in his response to the media after the wreck! So hats off to you Kyle! Damn it there I go gettin all soft on Kyle again!!

Just wanted to share with all my Rowdy friends that I am now a proud grandmother!

I would like to take this moment and introduce my granddaughter, Ashley Lynn. God graced us with her presence on Thanksgiving morning at 10:28 am. She weighed 6.5 lbs and was 17 1/4 " long.
Isn't she a precious angel?

Kyle Busch does have a heart!

I was watching the Kyle Busch show, I mean the Nationwide race on Saturday and in his post race interview Kyle was talking about tying Sam Ards record of having most wins in a single season in the Nationwide series. He talked about Sam Ards family and how they have fallen on hard times. Both Sam and his wife, Jo, are struggling with health issues, Sam having Alzheimers and Jo struggling with a degenerative eye disease. Kyle Busch then made the announcement that he was donating a whopping $100,000 to Sam Ard and his family to help with their financial situation. Apparently Sam and his family have been auctioning off his memorabilla such as his trophy's, old photos etc.. to help pay their expenses, so this money from Kyle will help out a lot. Kevin Harvick donated a van to Sam Ard's son at the race in Atlanta to help transport his parents. The Harvicks have also been helping out with an online auction that started the last week of Oct and ending Nov 17th. A lot of the drivers have donated items to be auctioned off. I think it's great that our drivers are able to reach out and extend help to their elderly Nascar family. I read several articles to get bits and pieces of this story.

To be or not to be part of Junior Nation?

While at work today I kept thinking back to Stinsonml's blog that he posted regarding Junior Nation's reaction to what Kyle Busch said the other day on Trackside. It has really been eating at my soul. Why? Because being a Jr fan I have to agree with what he said. They should not have applauded when Kyle Busch said that. People like that are what give Junior Nation a bad rep. Having said that, Jr did not actually run over Kyle's pit crew either. He was either trying to come into or out of his pit and Kyle's pit crew was in the way and he got close to them as we've seen happen many times to a lot of drivers, They had to get out of the way in a hurry but was not run over. Unless I've missed something in another race. He blamed that loss on Jr and it riled the fans. I don't think that incident caused Kyle to lose the race. I've seen Kyle damn near run into people just as a lot of the drivers have at one point and time. There is a lot of action on and off pit road, and it's hard for 43 drivers to come onto pit road all at once and someone not get close to one another. Having said that I am not making any excuses for them applauding at what was said by Kyle because this is a dangerous sport and people can get hurt seriously if they are not super careful. I know Stinsonml's point was about Junior Nation and the way they reacted to Kyle's comment. I'm not defending them at all because it was wrong. They need to stop and realize what the hell they are doing because they are supposed to be representing Dale Jr and they have a selfish way of doing it at times. I've noticed we all as Jr fans get tagged the same way but I don't think that is fair either. I am a true and loyal Junior fan but I want people to know that I am not gonna waste my Bud Light by throwing it at Kyle Busch or any other driver nor am I gonna get out here throwing crap at other fans and smacking people around cause they don't like my driver or want to bash on Junior Nation. I don't blame other driver's for Junior's losses with exception to one and we all know which one that was. I honestly don't think Junior would be too proud of his fans applauding what Kyle said the other day either. Being a Jr fan I'd be the first to admit that a lot of Jr's fans need to take a chill pill, but in my opinion if they were genuine fans they would not represent him in that way. Like these damn crazy, basketball, football and soccer fans we've seen on TV pummeling the hell out of each other over something that is supposed to be for fun. These people are possessed with ignorance, not loyalty to their favorite team or driver. Will I remain part of Junior Nation, you bet your bottom I will but that does not mean that I nor all of Junior Nation act in the manner that these people did the other day. Jr does not deserve that kind of representation.

My little Angel went home to Heaven!

Just wanted to thank everyone for your heartfelt prayers for my grandson and daughter in law. Unfortunately god took Aries home to be with him at 12:45am this morning. April is doing fine after some complications, considering the grief she and my son, Michael, are feeling now. He was a beautiful baby but suffered too much damage to his brain and kidneys to have lived. Please keep us in your prayers for a while longer. Thank you again!

I need your prayers right now Rowdy Nation.

I know this is not Nascar related but I need all of my Rowdy friends to say a prayer. I'm not sure if any of you realized that I've been expecting my first grandchild, a boy, due on Sept. 28, but yesterday, July 27th at 11 am my daughter in law became very ill. She had to be rushed to the hospital and the baby had to be taken emergency c-section. The baby had been without oxygen for 12 minutes before he was born and now things are not lookin so well for the little angel. Doctors tell us she is so sure that he has suffered a considerable amount of brain damage and the outlook does not look too good for him but the mother will be ok. So I'm here asking for any prayers that you might send our way for both my daughter in law, April and my grandson, Aries. I would greatly appreciate them. I'll keep you posted.

I, as part of Junior Nation would like to understand!

Alright Rowdy Nation, bare with me cause I'm new at this and not sure what the heck I'm doing. Since I've joined I've read many comments that we as Rowdy Nation members leave and other articles I have read elsewhere. Everyone is entitled to thier own opinion, good or bad, but I've become a little confused or maybe I just missed something along the way in the world of Nascar. So maybe someone can help me out here. WHAT THE HECK DID JR DO TO MAKE SO MANY PEOPLE KEEP DOGGIN HIM? I've been a fan for several years and have yet to see Jr show any disrespect to any other driver or Nascar fan. People say that he's liked because of his name and who his father was and they feel that Nascar shows him special attention because of that. I don't get it. Yeah his father was Dale Earnhardt but he sure the heck never handed Junior's career to him. He climbed in that car and earned the respect and love of all his fans and because of that I feel he appreciates his fans more. Jr went out there just as his father did and made a name for himself. He may have learned from the best but he is his own person and has his own fan base and yes I'd say most of Dale Sr's fans follow Jr now because they believe in him and want the namesake of their favorite driver to succeed in all aspects of life. He's loved for many reasons and not just because he is an Earnhardt. Yes he was lucky enough to be born an Earnhardt but that didn't make his career successful, he did. Having a lot of fans and being a great driver is not always about how many wins you have. We love him because of how he presents himself as a person on or off the track. Always professional !!!! Sure we'd love to see him win more but when he loses you never see him jump out of the car and blame anyone else other than his own team or himself. How often do people see him ruining other peoples chances of winning by running them over? Hell I've seen him push drivers on other teams to the front of the line. How selfless is that? We don't expect Nascar to treat him any different than the other drivers. He doesn't expect it either. He goes out there every week and gives 110% just as the other drivers do and he never gives any less. He's had shortfalls and DNFs but wherever he may end up it is what it is. We still love him. After Kurt Busch's win I watched to see if anyone said anything about how he had won, but didn't see much at all compared to Junior's win. They say he cheated, AT LEAST HE DID CROSS THE FINISH LINE!!! I think that win showed a lot of experience in his team. I respect the fact that everyone has thier own favorite driver. As I said I'm just confused because so many people are down on him. If he was out here acting like someone I won't mention, wrecking other drivers, disrespecting his own team, and antagonizing others I could see thier point. I've been guilty of hatin' on that one myself but so has half of Nascar. Ha! Forgive me RacerX. Anyway, just wanted to get some insight from our Rowdy Nation and help clear up my own misunderstandings.
