Something to add to the site.

Hi Rowdy Nation, I have some ideas for rowdy.com. one is in the profile page, add a place to browse for special backrounds on your part of the site. Also, adding a sim game. One more thing, add more contests every other week. ex. race tickets, autographs, merchandise, rowdy or not, free pit passes with tickets. All of this can add a little more fun to this awesome site!

MWR + JTG-Daugherty Racing = new alliance

Michael Waltrip Racing and JTG-Daugherty Racing formed an alliance, how you might ask? Well, JTG-Daugherty Racing has switched to Toyotas. They have moved their facility into the 140,000-square-foot facility in Cornelius, NC. They will be recieving cars, engineering, mechanical and other technical support from MWR's existing infrastructure. But, I have a great question! What cars, and other resources will they have to use after Michael Waltrip, and Michael McDowell gets done with them? Yeah, that's right, NOTHING!!! They just made a horrible mistake. :( TRD will support the JTG-Daugherty team with engines from its Costa Mesa, Calif., facility, and vehicle engineering support from its Salisbury, N.C., facility.

"We are extremely excited that Toyota chose to support us as we move to the Sprint Cup Series. Their engineering expertise and commitment to excellence is sure to expedite our development into a competitive Cup team," Tad Geschickter said.

"The alliance with Tad, Jodi and Brad happened because MWR has shown over the past few months that we can field a competitive product. This allows MWR to maintain the economies of scale we currently enjoy as a three-car team," Waltrip said. "We continue to invest in our development and this alliance helps keep the momentum we've gained in our fabrication and engineering departments this summer.

MWR is now saying they are going to add a fourth car!?!? Man what are they thinking! They just said they are going to drop the No.44 car and put David Reutimann back in the No.00.

Also, Michael Waltrip and Michael Waltrip Racing announced that Robert "Booty" Barker will be the crew cheif for the No.55 in 2009.

Kenny Wallace will be the driver of the No.00 in Talladega this weekend. Remember, Kenny Wallace + Talladega Superspeedway = DNQ! Almost 98% of the time.

Gas concerns

After the hurricane in the Gulf Coast everyone in the southeast is having problems with gasoline. Right there are four races that could be affected with the gas crises, they are Nashville, Charlotte, Atlanta and this weekends race in Talladega. Talladega officials think that this could affect these four, high caliber race tracks. Here's what Rick Humphrey had to say,"We're being told, by the end of the week, we should have sufficient amount of gas in the area. The folks coming from the Atlanta area should be a little more cautious. But the area in and around the racetrack, there should be sufficient gas." Sure, Texas' gas refineries are starting to get better, and this problem is affecting most metropolitan areas. The gas in the Colonial Pipeline which Atlanta uses is still not up to full capacity. The gas in the pipelines flow close to five miles per hour, which means, it could take the product up to ten days to reach Atlanta, GA. Gas in Georgia is thirty cents higher than the national average. Right now there are no plans to postpone the race in Talladega. Thanks, please leave a comment or any problems you have found with the blog.

Jeff Gordons last years?

I heard Jeff Gordon is going to retire in 2-3 years. I heard he is possibly going to retire soon. But what will he do? He has so much money he will be able to open his own team or buy int Hendrick, like he already has with the 5 and 48. I know some of you love to hear this "News" but some of us don't, like me, because I'm a great fan of his and I would hate to see him. So is this true? Tell me!

09/19/2008

Robby's last week at GEM.

After the lawsuit on Robby Gordon, it has been dropped, but next week he will be driving a Penske engine. GEM turned down the merger plans and dropped the lawsuit. Robby joined during speedweeks of 2008 and it will end this week. “
Our desire is to be four teams, and right now we're exploring any options that will put us at four points position cars, and I want to keep stressing that. Said Mark McDardle, GEM vice president. Robby joined because the offer included engines and other resources, and sponsorship opportunities. Robby also said, "I own my race team and they [GEM] own their race teams," Elliott Sadler qualified 12th, Patrick Carpentier qualified 17th, KAsey Kahne qualified 36th. BUT!!! Robby qualified 41st, so it's hard to tell if they are giving pure Evernham Motorsports horse-power because Kasey qualified 36th. So! Do you think Robby has a disfunctional team, or, is Gillette/Evernham Motorsports breaking their contract? McArdle said his organization would continue to pursue sponsors and explore options, including a merger, which would enable the team to consist of four cars in 2009. He also stated, "Our desire is to be four teams, and right now we're exploring any options that will put us at four points position cars, and I want to keep stressing that," McArdle said. "Our desire is to not go to Daytona [for Speedweeks] out of the top 35, under any circumstances. It was a detriment to the 10 car's [Carpentier's] season to go there in that condition this year and the way the rainouts worked out earlier this season put us behind and ever since then it's just been mining coal to try and get back out of that hole." The final thing he said was, "At the moment we don't have four fully funded [cars] and that's why we had to give Patrick the ability to go and talk with others," McArdle said. "However, it's still our desire to retain his services and our marketing folks and George Gillett and all the rest of our ownership group are working diligently to find us the funding to be able to make that fourth car dream come true in a tough economy." So! Do you think they are violating their contract, are they obeying their rules and/or regulations, or, does Robby have the crappiest team in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series? Thanks!

Penalties?

After the great fight NASCAR needed for their ratings, they hand out their penalties. Why! It was one of the greatest races I've seen since Robby's helmet flying torwards Michael Waltrip and seeing Waltrips hand getting stuck in the window net. NASCAR is being "butt-wipes" so here's the suckish penalties from NASCAR.com! The penalties violated section 12-4-A, (actions detrimental to stock-car racing) and section 12-4-F (team members involved in an altercation with another competitor on pit road after the race had concluded). The drivers were not fined or anything like that but some crew members, No. 30 team, Mike Hillman Jr., crew chief, and Mark Hillman, crew member. Mike has also been fined $2,500 and had his NASCAR probation extended through Dec. 31. Both Mark Hillman and Divel have been fined $1,500 and placed on probation until Dec. 31. No. 11 team, William Divel, crew member. Starr also has been fined $10,000 and placed on probation until Dec. 31. Richard Gay, crew chief for the No. 11 truck, and Jason Overstreet, crew chief for the No. 9 truck driven by David Reutimann, have both been fined $1,000 and placed on probation until Dec. 31. Additionally, two crew members -- Brandon Hopkins for the No. 30 truck and Tony Jilson for the No. 9 truck -- have been placed on probation until Dec. 31. All three owners Steve Germain, owner of the No. 30, Bob Germain, owner of the No. 09, and Tom DeLoach owner of the No. 11 have their team on probation until December 31.

Penalties:
No. 30 crew chief Mike Hillman Jr. Suspension until Sept. 24

Great race in Craftsman!

Man, what a race in the Craftsman Truck Series! Especially at the end of it! Why, because, David Star and Todd Bodines crew went after each other. They were punching and shoving all around the trucks. It all started when David Star hit David Reutimann and Todd Bodine, which are on the same team this weekend. So after Ron Hornaday took the checkered Todd bumped David in the bumper just to let him know that he is unhappy and wants to teach you a lesson. David then pulled next to Todds No.30 "Lumber Jack" truck and the team whent after each other. One crew member was punched in the face and was bleeding! Yeah! Bleeding!:) That's racing the old-fashioned way! It was heart breaking, everything cooled down.:( Wait here they go again! More punching, slapping, and pushing! Action baby! When everything ended they interveiwed Todd, he said that David is and still is a good guy. He didn't crash him on purpose. He also said, the reason why he was so mad was because he crashed him and the #9 "What a Croc" Toyota. So he simply nudged him and Bodine's team swarmed the "Red Nosed Racing" team. So in the end, Ron Hornaday comes off a problem with steroids, and a big fight on the pits. Boy what a week already! I hope NASCAR doesn't fine them or any of that crap! Because that keeps the ratings up, also the problem with keeping the stands full, that helps the organization. Thanks for reading, please leave a comment. I would love to hear your opinion!

Comments from speedtv.com:

Todd Bodine is whinny little baby anyway. It is sad that he crew has to man up for him. But if they would have looked at the replay they would have seen it was racing, not intentional. Don't all the teams have satellite on the boxes?

Racing? Not intentional?
As a cop I can tell you it looked like he put the the PIT maneuver on him. Starr most assuredly moved UP into Bodine, not the other way around. Starr did this not once, but three times throughout the race.

I agree with Todd. Starr was overdriving.
