Jeff put the 24 where it belongs - at the front of the field. Historically, he has struggled at the Monster MIle, well at least for the last 5 years (not that long of history).
This may be the turn around race that catapults Jeff back into the Chase debate.
Lovin' this weekend at Dover.
Any else pumped that Dover is upon us. Chase is starting to heat up, the Monster Mile collects cars in a big way coming out of turn 2 and 4.
Cannot wait to see if any of the chaser's get the short straw and knocked out in someone else's mess.
Sunny skies here we come.
Bass chats with Kiefer Sutherland at the recent Pocono race.
Bass asked if Kiefer could use his influence to get Newman to let us know where he was driving next season. Kiefer paused and suggested that the best approach may be torture, it has worked well for him on 24.
After some further reflection, he suggested that taking Ryan's car away may be another way to influence Ryan to share with us.
Both seem like terrific ways to incentivize Ryan to share, any other suggestions from the nation.
Does the NASCAR sponsor fit wth his Cup driver?
Kasey as the Bud man, not perfect.
Kasey as insurance boy marketing to the female audience, perfect.
Kyle Busch and M&Ms - sweetness mismatch.
Denny Hamlin and FedEx - does Denny seem quick at anything in his personal life, feels like slow delivery to me.
Brian Vickers definitely downs Red Bull after Red Bull.
Robby Gordon and Jim Bean - yeah...
I think that if you really connect with your favorite driver, his sponsor doesn't really matter to you but sometimes the match of driver and brand just isn't right.
Any other driver/brand combos that come to mind?
With the announcement of Stewart moving back to Chevy, was anyone else surprised to see that Zippy will remain with the team.
Has his relationship with Tony become strained by not willing or all the bad luck?
Is Zippy excited about working with Lagano for next 10+ years?
What does the nation think?
Anybody else think that JP should have jumped Kyle after the New Hampshire race rather than during the race. More of a man to man confrontation, than machine to machine.Get in your face and get real about letting him know you are unhappy with him.
Dont get me wrong, I love when the cars push each other around - rubbin' is definitely racing. But how brave do you have to be to slam your 3,000 pound car into someone?
Is JP really a tough guy or just a hot head?
Does any one else sense the sport is getting back some needed juice?
Jr wins, yippee, obvious, half the sport is happy, NASCAR is happy, obvious stuff.
Kyle Busch is creating interest and excitement, hate him, love him, it creates some fun for all of us - not a fan personally.
Joey Lagano - boy superstar, at least so ordained by everyone in the world - has been delivering the mail on time, gotta love it when the snotty kid spits back in your eye.
Kenseth returns - the silent assassin back to running strong the way life should be.
Kasey Kahne is running the best he has in two plus years, all the ladies have to be happy, actually I am too
Harvick and Stewart are returning to the mix, can a big fight be far behind (beside Smoke jumping teams)
Burton could win the Sprint cup in the AT&T machine.
Not much from JJ, which is fine by me, a little dull and too polished at the same time for my taste.
Stories, stories, drama, competition, love it, love it, am I alone is my sense the worm has turned and the rest of the season should be a ton of fun.
