This is my first full year as a NASCAR fan. Im shocked about all of the free agent stuff that goes on with some of the biggest stars in the sport mid-season. NASCAR should do something to regulate who can talk to who and when they can talk. Take a look at Tony Stewart his contact wasn’t up for another year with J.G.R and now he is gone .I know it’s a long year but, maybe they should wait until the chase to let free agents talk. It would give drivers more reason to give all they can to look better for a new team . I can’t see Tony on Ryan Newman winning another race and why would they ? Maybe im just bitter cause I got a boat load of 20 stuff that says Tony Stewart ? Can I make Tony look like Joey with a marker?

How Becoming a Music Agent Works
Is there a way to get energy for free?
I'm a big Tony fan to but as a long time Tony fan I have things with Glidden and Bass Pro and several other sponsers. Just because he has changed cars doesn't mean that you need to get rid of your stuff. The Home Depot 20 car was a big era in his life, you should be proud to have it and wear it with that same pride.
I grew up a baseball fan and I was also surprised the first time I saw all this free agent activity midseason. I think this happens to give the corporate sponsors enough time to build major marketing campaigns that they'll start implementing before the Daytona 500. It's already only about seven months away so they need to move fast. In regards to the Stewart stuff, my Stewart fan buddy has a plan. Since Smoke is going to Office Deport, he said he's going to get some duct tape, write "Office" on it, and stick it over the "Home" on his stuff. Is there anything duct tape can't fix?
The word "contract" seems to be pretty meaningless in this sport. When someone says, "Yeah, but he has like 3 years left on his contract." I say, "Yeah, so what?"
I can't think of another sport where numbers, brand names, and sponsors are so tied to a 'player' -- then they go and change 'em up all the time. Maybe it's a marketing ploy for people to just keep buying more gear? Makes me wonder.
Have fun watching the races...
Good plan for your Smoke friend, Throttleneck.
...sometimes I like the old gear 'cause you can wear it like a badge of honor. I love going to races with my old Dale Jr. AC Delco Busch series jacket - it's sweet, and many of the newer fans don't can't figure it out. Others who've been around a while will say things like "That was a great car" or whatever. Hold on to the old stuff - It will mark this era for you.
As for the contracts, free agency stuff... money takes care of things like contracts. Like in Tony's case, it is widely speculated that Chevy bought out his last year at JGR. Things like this happen all the time. And look at Junior last season. He announced his plans, colors and sponsors in June, and still they BARELY had enough stuff out in time for February. Die-Casts take time :)
Ah. The life we live as fans. My problem doesn't nearly compare, but I got a whole bunch of Carl Edwards Office Depot stuff that will now go to waste (as I hear that OD is going to Tony?) But I did get stuff autographed 2 years ago by JJ Yeley & Tony...the hat that JJ signed was actually a Bobby Labonte hat that I had JJ sign and now it's a Kyle Busch hat. That'll make your head spin.
Just use 20 stuff to help remember the "old days."
....Or you could put a little hook on the T to make it a J...I can't help with the N though...so I guess Joey can be Jony?
