I went to Indy in 2006 and we took a shuttle from our hotel instead of the rental car and it worked out great for us. Instead of being stuck in traffic forever after the race the shuttle got us back to our room within 30-45 minutes (there were special lanes and routes blocked off that only the buses and shuttles could use) and we were even able to watch some nascar coverage on tv. The amount of people that they stuff into that place is absolutely mindblowing. Oh, and if you have the chance I would definitely recommend catching the truck and nationwide races at ORP. It's an awesome little short track and was tons of fun. |
