I was very disappointed about the race this weekend in California because of the lack of excitement due to weather, and the schedule. I was pleased to hear that California Speedway and Atlanta Speedway are thinking of trading dates, well NASCAR needs to make some changes to the dates California Speedway has. The second weekend in February is a bad weekend in SoCal. Why because of a small awards show in Hollywood, called the OSCARS!! Maybe someone has heard of it. This means that there are few celebs to have as eye candy at the race, and more importantly it makes it second fiddle in the news, locally and nationally! Also this weekend usually has rain before, after or during it. That is why the PGA tour left San Diego, and moved to Arizona for its Match play event. If NASCAR moved the race to Phoenix, it would just be an ISC switch. Or they could move it to Las Vegas, I am sure Burton Smith would love to have the second race of the season. There needs to be some change, not just for California Speedway and its race, but for the good of the sport, to feed off of they hype and excitement from the Daytona 500.
